There are hundreds of motorcycle brands out there, so it can be challenging to know which one to buy, especially if you’re starting or don’t have much experience with motorcycles.

Here are some of the best motorcycle brands that start with H and what they have to offer.

1. Honda 

The first on our list of motorcycle brands that start with His Honda. It has a reputation for making some of the best motorcycles available in today’s market.

If you’re looking for safety, reliability, and general awesomeness, you can’t go wrong with one of Honda’s many offerings.

2. Harley Davidson

Harley Davidson is among the classic motorcycle brands that start with H.

It was founded in 1903 by two friends, William Harley and Arthur Davidson. They built their first bikes in a shed in Milwaukee; one of these bikes is still on display today.

King Karl XI of Sweden demanded that Jöns Månsson start producing guns for his military.

Jöns’ son eventually started making weapons on his own and was granted an official license by King Karl XIII in 1792.

The company continued to expand throughout Sweden until it reached a global scale in 1960.

5. Haibike

Haibike is a German company that specializes in electric bikes and off-road vehicles.

Founded in 1997, Haibike is one of only four brands to have won all three Grand Tour races and every UCI Mountain Bike World Cup race. 

In addition, since it began production in 2002, it has increased to become one of Germany’s largest bicycle manufacturers.

The brand’s most recent accomplishment is the fastest eMTB ever ridden on flat ground at a top speed of 45 km/h (28 mph).

7. Hero MotoCorp

After several buyer changes and a bankruptcy filing in 2006, Hesketh was destined for a quiet death—but it wasn’t long before Apple boss Steve Jobs took an interest in helping resurrect his favorite marque.

12. Hodaka Motorcycles

We have little to say about Hodaka motorcycle brands that start with H. It is an American brand of motorcycles produced from 1957 until 1979.

Bob Hume founded the company, formerly of Excelsior-Henderson and Harley-Davidson. 

However, from 1972 onward, Hodaka was a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kawasaki. In 1972, five years after purchasing Excelsior-Henderson, Kawasaki shut down production at their Lincoln, Nebraska plant and moved it to their main facility in Japan.

They sold off the remaining stock left in America’s motorcycle shops (around 3,000 bikes) as late as 1974.

16. Hildebrand & Wolfmüller

Motorcycle brands that start with H. This German motorcycle brand was founded in 1894 by Franz Hildebrand and Karl Wolfmüller, who wanted to build bicycles.

Their first bike had a single-cylinder engine that produced 1.75 horsepower and could reach a top speed of 20 mph (32 km/h). 

However, in 1898, they had built 100 bikes, which they sold through dealerships in Germany and surrounding countries.

In 1902, they made an electric vehicle that weighed only 60 pounds (27 kg) thanks to its aluminum frame.

Also, it featured an early storage battery that weighed just 83 pounds (38 kg). The bikes were available until 1904 when production stopped due to poor sales; only about 100 were ever built during those two years.

17. Hoffmann
